形態特徵

• Rhizome short, ascending. Culms erect, loosely tufted, 20-40 (-60) cm long, obtusely trigonous, smooth, clothed below with light orange-brown long leaf sheaths.
• Leaves 2-5(-8) mm wide, shorter than to nearly equalling culms, glaucous-green, acute at apex; sheaths light rusty-brown or pale and dotted with dark red.
• Spikes 3-4 (-6), erect, upper 2 or 3 subfastigiate, lowest slightly spaced; terminal spike staminate, linear, 1-4.5 cm long, 1-2 mm thick, light orange- or reddish brown; lateral spike pistillate, rarely with short staminate part at apex, cylindrical, 1-4 cm long, 2.5-4 mm thick, densely many-flowered, pale green and glaucous, becoming dark brown when dried, subsessile to peduncled. Bracts leafy, lower 2 surpassing inflorescence, sheathing base 0.5-2 cm long.
• Pistillate glumes oblong to ovate, 1.75-2 mm long, 0.7-1 mm wide, obtuse to acute at apex. Utricles ellipsoid, 2-3 mm long, 1-1.75 mm wide, erect to subpatent, compressed, trigonous to nearly plano-convexed, pale-green, glaucous, becoming dark brown when dried, densely papillose with rusty-brown papillae, 3- to 5-veined on both surfaces; beak 0.2-0.5 mm long, entire. Achene rather loosely enveloped, obovate or elliptic, 1.5-1.75 mm long, trigonous, rounded at mucronate apex, short-stipe at base; style slightly thickened at base; stigmas 3, short.

• 世界 : Sri Lanka, India, China, Japan southeastern Asia, Australia and Pacific Is.
